For quite some time, there have been many accusations floating around our community regarding the finances of WBCSD. Among the latest are a secret bank account which has been “found” that holds an undisclosed amount of money and over $800K in levy money that the board was not aware of. The current board and administration has issued statements alluding to mismanagement of district funds and trying to convince the community that the prior administration was in some way doing something unethical, illegal and definitely not providing any financial transparency. Yet, there still is not any proof to any of these accusations. It seems it is just another device to muddy the waters and make school district finances even more confusing than they already are.
Since we have no proof of a secret bank account or found money, we can only make assumptions to what this might actually be. First, the secret bank account which may or may not have money in it. (This editorial was initially written with the assumption these funds were part of the Local Government Investment Pool, however, it is now clear that the secret account is the daily investment sweep). Sweep accounts are investment accounts linked to a business’s regular bank account. The sweep allows automatic transfers “sweeps” of the idle funds from the regular bank account into the sweep account by an ACH debit and an ACH credit on a daily basis. Funds are moved out each night “sweeps out” to earn the highest interest rates possible on the money and then sweeps back into the account the next day to cover any checks and other bank charges going through the account that day. Many larger businesses utilize daily sweep accounts; which just makes good business sense. And why wouldn’t WBCSD do the same and try to earn as much interest as possible on their money? The sweep account is reviewed annually by the independent auditor and is referenced in the audit report -see page 32 of the WBCSD Annual Audit June 2022. (Link to audit report) If there truly is a secret account outside of the local investment sweep or the LGIP, then the current administration needs to provide proof of the secret bank account to the community immediately.
And secondly, the $800K in property tax dollars that the board was not aware of. Anyone who owns property in the State of Idaho, let alone Bonner county pays property taxes. The 2 tax assessment dates are in January and July. It only makes sense that very large tax payments will be coming to the school district in July and August because that is when taxes are due and they are paid. Anyone that may not be familiar with how schools receive tax payments or fund accounting may see this payment as new revenue or as surprise when in reality it is not. WBCSD has had a supplemental levy in place since 2000. Tax payments are made to the school district from the county on a monthly basis with significantly larger payments coming to the district in January and July. Tax payments are for the voter approved levies and are designated for the specific purposes as outlined in all supplemental levy information provided by WBCSD. These levies are tracked to the penny between voter approved amounts and expenditures. Any past levies and taxes payments should not be new information to the board. Any board member claims of not being aware of levies and tax revenues would be false claims. It only makes sense that the board would know that the process is levies create taxes which are then received by the school district as payments from the county. Also, the tax payments for July and August are booked back into June as revenue for the prior fiscal year. Perhaps this standard year end accounting entry was missed because of the change in financial managers and the new business manager may not fully up to speed on fund accounting for schools? Again, just an assumption that the logical thinking person might make.

Tuesday August 29th will be one of the most significant elections we have had in our county. Actually, its result could have an impact on small towns not only in Idaho but across the country.
Abstaining from this vote is not an option. It is vital that we do not allow politicians to steam roll our small communities. It is imperative that this community shows up on Tuesday and firmly shows these people that we do not stand for lies, manipulation, and authoritarian practices.
Personal politics do not belong in public schools. Ever.
Our students deserve leadership that supports their teachers and their families. Our students deserve a school board that sees more than test scores and wants to provide the best educational experience. Our students deserve a special education director that is on site.
Since his hire, Branden Durst hasn't communicated with his staff, his parents, etc. He and his hiring board have been caught in a list of wrong-doings such as lying about background checks, not providing teachers with contracts, payroll mishaps, strange hiring practices, and they even missed the deadline to get our busses ready for the school year.
When asked for clarity and transparency, the community has time and time again been met with "the blame game" and no solutions. I'm tired of hearing about the "last staff". I want to know the plan.
School starts in 10 days, I don't think this board majority is changing their tune.
Please vote FOR the recall of Susan and Keith.
- Whitney Urmann
"If it's to be it's up to me". That's a quote that I read a long time ago that has always stuck with me. I don't know the author so I can't give credits but I feel it really applies to all of us now. Meaning we HAVE to get out to vote on the 29th. We can't depend on the other person to do it. We have to do it our self. This is so so critical. If you need a ride to the polls make a call, arrangements will be made to accommodate you. If you're not mobile enough to get into the polling place a poll worker can come out and hand you a ballot and take it back in for you. Two people will work together to do that. Your vote remains secret as you put it in the sleeve and they slide it into the ballot box for you. Some of you may remember when I used to announce the football games which I did for over 25 years. At each game I asked that everyone stand up for the kickoff. It was kind of a rally cry to support the team. Same thing here, GET UP and GO VOTE, no excuses. Do it. We have approximately 2200 registered voters in zone 2 and 1600 in zone 4. My earlier challenge of 90% turnout would be about 1980 votes in zone #2 and 1440 votes in zone #4. LET'S GO FOR IT. "IF IT'S TO BE IT'S UP TO ME"
- Ernie Schoeffel
I am a 1970 graduate of Priest River Lamanna High School. The solid common core curriculum here enabled me to obtain dual degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Idaho in 1974. After earning a law degree in 1977 and practicing law, I was elected to the Seattle Municipal Court, where I retired after 28 years as a judge. As a Bonner County property owner for over 30 years, I support the recall campaign. I urge community members to vote to recall WBCSD trustees Keith Rutledge (Zone 4) and Susan Brown (Zone 2).
Students deserve the promise of a taxpayer-based, free public education. In the early 1800s, Horace Mann solidified efforts by Thomas Jefferson and John Adams to create a unified school system with a common curriculum devoid of sectarian influences. They knew this was essential for the preservation of the young republic. A standardized education would ensure a citizenry that would knowledgeably participate in civic life, regularly vote to protect rights and freedoms, and recognize and resist tyranny and demagogues. Voters have an opportunity to do just that on Aug. 29, 2023.
Reports of violations of open meeting laws, refusal to recognize the free speech of anyone opposed to the board majority, armed escorts for the hand-selected carpetbagger candidate for superintendent, summary decision-making with no advance notice, lack of transparency for actions, and pushing a community member who dared to question the majority are shocking. Voting to appoint an unqualified superintendent who is applying to the Board of Education for a certificate is disturbing. Voting to pay him a $110,00 salary with additional benefits is irresponsible and arguably malfeasance. I urge people to write immediately to the Idaho Board of Education to reject Mr. Durst’s application.
The hijacking of our school district by so-called ‘Priest River Patriots’, is appalling. They are bullies who are disregarding the needs of the students. Mocking the parents of special-needs children is especially cruel. The idea that my old high school might be sold to a friend of trustee Rutledge to create a charter or fundamental Christian school is reprehensible. And passing over longtime resident Susan Luckey as superintendent clearly illustrates the agenda of Mr. Durst’s Idaho Freedom Foundation, whose marching orders he is clearly following.
Implementation of the Hilldale’s classic education curriculum would be a disaster for the future prospects of the children of West Bonner County. My father, Fred Fumio Kondo, practiced law in Priest River until his death in 1970. He graduated from Priest River High School in 1937. After finishing his first year of law school at the University of Idaho, he and some of his local Italian buddies enlisted in the Army. As a member of the 100th Artillery Battalion attached to the famous 442nd Regimental Combat Unit, he used the math and geometry skills he learned here to place artillery shells ahead of his comrades fighting on the ground. His German fluency and written English language skills were recognized, and he was assigned to the Allied headquarters near Berlin to translate German documents, communicate with German POWs, and write reports to commanding officers.
Four of his brothers and sisters and my three sisters also graduated from the Priest River school system. My sisters went on to successful careers in law, business, and finance. Mrs. Ballbach’s typing class was invaluable to learning keyboarding as computers became necessary tools for writing my legal opinions.
My dad had this quote from Abraham Lincoln in his law office: "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."
Please vote Aug. 29 to ensure that current and future students have the opportunities to develop their unique skills and talents. The schools need a broad-based and solid core curriculum with sports, language, music, arts, vocational skills, and subjects that will prepare them for the future. Whether students stay in the community or leave the area, we need to create an educated populace who will recognize when local boards are being taken over by bullies and tyrants.
My dad fought these fascists and Nazis in Italy and Germany. Now is the time to fight them here on our home front. What the majority board is doing is un-American and must be stopped.
-C. KIMI KONDO
My youngest said he feels like he has no choice but to switch schools. Honors and AP classes are not available this year at WBCSD and he is concerned he would not be challenged and would no longer enjoy school. Plus, with the unknown of sports at WBCSD that’s another big motivator for many to transfer to another district for success and happiness.
My eldest doesn’t care much for school, but loved his welding and shop class. Now it’s unknown what, if any electives will be available and that’s discouraging for a student who already struggles to stay interested in the classroom. Plus he had made great friends at PR and many of those friends are also transferring due to the same concerns. This shouldn’t even be an issue!
A well-rounded education is crucial for self-discovery, well-being and social skills! Kids need more than math, reading and writing. It’s about balance and meeting their needs! As a mom, I’m just sickened by the use of politics, power, religion and corruption that is occurring within WBCSD. I will not allow my boys to be influenced by “leaders” (and I use that word very loosely) who bully, call names like woke, donkeys, liberals, Pride supporters, etc. It is highly inappropriate and hateful. There is no room for hate in the schools, nor in our kids minds and especially not in my house.
I do not like the idea of Christianity and extreme Republican values being pushed in the schools at all, just the same as if it was being pushed for extreme liberal views, it’s not appropriate for school. Period! I can support my religious friends same as I can respect my friends who have differing political views, what I cannot endorse is students being aware of these “leaders” views and having those views preached as the one way of thinking within the district. There’s no reason for it!
Our kids need to be provided information and given the opportunity to research and formulate their own opinions, not just do as they’re told or follow. We need to give them the power to advocate for themselves and others! Our kids are not robots to be programmed like the IFF is hoping for! They are so much more than that!!!
I find the flyers sent out by Keith and Susan not only condescending, but unethical. Those flyers confirmed an agenda of hate and conformity which is despicable! Whether or not they want to acknowledge the truth of LGBTQ students, mental health needs, special education support, and various religious/spiritual beliefs in WBCSD, it does exist and it’s not going anywhere and shouldn’t have to! School should be a safe place to be who you are, not who they want you to be and that is the type of leadership we need! We honor respect, diversity, inclusion, empathy and compassion for all! All students deserve a chance for a well-rounded education and set up for whatever that students success vision is!
The other side speaks of indoctrination, but what are they pushing? Christianity, straight pride, close-minded values and its their way or the highway! And if you disagree or speak up, you are now a woke liberal activist turning kids gay! They call us donkeys but in my opinion the only asses I see in this recall are the no voters!
Let me tell you, I have numerous gay friends and family and not once have they tried to make me gay, not once have they told me I need Jesus because I’m not religious, not once did they tell me that I need to be something I’m not! I’ve only ever received support, love and respect which is how it should be! The only indoctrination happening is from the no voters to turn all of our kids into their vision of what kids should be and I say screw that! Let them be who they are! Let them be republicans, democrats, gay, straight, go to trade school, go to college, work locally and ultimately let them be happy… whatever it is, let’s support them in their vision of success whether we agree or not, students have rights too!
I appreciate you all respecting my politics and values even though we may disagree in some areas, we all came together, differences aside and built an even closer community to support right vs wrong in our district. That speaks volumes to Priest River and I’m so proud of you all taking a stance!!! We got this! August 29th we take back our schools!
🧡 Recall. Replace. Rebuild. 🧡

Keith Rutledge and Susan Brown, your mob keeps screaming that if you don’t go along with their narrative then you’re a “woke bully”. I laugh out loud at this. Priest River is full of a “leftist mob” your followers say. I myself am a Christian, and a Republican. I voted for President Trump. How about you stop using religion and politics to gain followers. Start using FACTS! Our teachers deserve equal pay.
Durst has said he will hire anyone to be a teacher who has two years of college. Two years of college does NOT make you a teacher.
I would also like to know why you keep inviting that creep with a camera into our school buildings who is harassing parents/grandparents/teachers! Why is that okay with you?
-Katie Cox
During contract negotiations, Branden Durst has shown a lack of financial understanding in regards to the district budget, and is relying heavily on the support and assistance from the state Department of Education for clarification and understanding of the District’s budget.
He has also demonstrated a lack of understanding regarding the software programs and procedures to run the district efficiently.
In and of itself, the two above instances are cause for concern. But the salient issue is that Durst wasn’t hired for his expertise in managing a school district (remember, he has zero experience).
In fact, it’s obvious that WBCSD board members Rutledge and Brown aren’t concerned a bit about Durst’s poor performance as long as their overall objective is met: First, to annihilate the district as it currently stands. Second, to replace it with Christian charter schools.
Durst has admitted on his Twitter account (Dec. 29, 2022) that he will be “Putting together incorporation documents and an application to open Idaho’s first Christian charter school. The school will leverage Hillsdale curriculum. There will be emphasis on biblical worldview and training up the next generation in Truth”.
There is nothing wrong, per se, with having a Christian worldview. The First Amendment protects that right.
Why, then, do Rutledge, Brown, and Durst feel the need to rely on obfuscation and misrepresentation of what their true intentions are, while harming the very thing they are purporting to save? Not only is that un-Christian, but grounds for recall.
Mark your calendars for August 29th.
Recall. Rebuild. Replace
-Glenn R. Hines
Here are the actual facts to set the record straight.
Was the WBCSD office staff fired? Yes, they absolutely were. They were sent emails from Mr. Durst that they were all terminated and no longer employed by the district. They were fired, they did NOT quit.
Did the ELA curriculum cost $20,000 to return? No, but it was not the $3,300 that they are telling you. It was a total of $9075.66. The district office has the receipts, that's a fact!
The recall effort is not a political one. Those in favor of the recall are community members, parents, grandparents, former teachers, business owners, and good hearted people. Our children's education is our top priority. Spreading misinformation is not.
Vote FOR the recall August 29.
-Tamara Hirst
In case you’ve missed it, here is a snapshot of WBCSD happenings:
6/7 - Superintendent Candidate Forum - Susie Luckey, current Interim Superintendent and BrandenDurst, unqualified candidate, answer questions from the community.
6/12 Special Board Meeting - Rutledge continually defends Durst.
6/14 Special Board Meeting – Meeting is adjourned in 9 minutes
300+ signs for Susie in nine days. 3 votes for Durst in that same span. Please, make it make sense.
-Whitney Hutchins
Representative Heather Scott would have you all believe that the “liberals are angry” about not getting their way. I am writing this to set the record straight.
I am a 1 st and 2 nd amendment supporter, and a mom. The woman sitting next to me at the school board meeting booing at the board for selecting Branden Durst voted for Trump both times, and has a daughter who just graduated from PRLHS. That man yelling for a recall of board members has a “lets go Brandon” bumper sticker and has coached both of our sons in football. WE ARE PRIEST RIVER. We are social workers, laborers, business orders, mental health professionals, teachers, parents, coaches, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and Libertarians. Our political and religious views very, but we all have one thing in common; we love our kids and our town. WE are parents and we are pissed!
Branden Durst called us “woke.” If this is true it is only because he woke up all the Mama Bears and Papa Bears in town, and we are ready to do some housekeeping. We have been complacent and have put too much trust in our school board. We were sleeping but we are now awake. We are reading Idaho State Code, we are learning the laws, and we are holding the board accountable. Our elected officials are not hearing our voices, so we are making ourselves heard! We cannot sit down, we will not be quiet, and we will not stop; because our children and their well being is of the utmost importance. All these Mama and Papa Bears will not stop fighting for our kids! Ditch Durst! We want Luckey!
-Tatum Schiwal Jones
Dear Editor,
I’ve just read that the Special Education Director that “Superintendent” Durst lined up has quit.
It’s just another item in a long list of screw-ups that has plagued this district since he was hired.
We haven’t even started the school year, and we’re already in deep, deep trouble due to his
“leadership”. I can’t imagine how much worse off the students of West Bonner County School
District will be once the school year starts.
However, upon closer inspection of all the incomprehensible and irrational decisions he has
made, (i.e., Let’s fight the Idaho Board of Education! Let’s hire a Special Education Director
based in Texas! etc.) Two things are abundantly clear:
1. Durst doesn’t care one whit about the students of this district; they are a means to an end
(neither does Rutledge, nor Brown, for that matter).
2. The decisions Durst is making have only one purpose: to dismantle the district, and replace it
with charter schools. His “bad” decisions are by design.
It is an extremely underhanded tactic that has been initiated by the IFF.
Board-Chair Rutledge and Vice-Chair Brown are responsible for bringing this to our town. They
are the ones who have put politics in front of the student’s best interests. They are the ones who
have hired a failed politician whose only value to them is his ability to obfuscate, deceive, and
lie. Rutledge and Brown don’t care what he says or does, as long as their goals are achieved.
Don’t them get away with it. Tuesday, August 29th is your opportunity to set this right, and to
tell the IFF in no uncertain terms that this community won’t stand for their unwelcome intrusion.
Vote For the recall of Rutledge and Brown.
Recall, replace, rebuild.
-Glenn R. Hines
Some say the effort to recall Keith Rutledge and Susan Brown has divided our small community. That is not how I see it at all. What I see, is a community that has come together in a way like never before. I see 206 businesses willing to lose revenue in order to support this effort in a very public way. What I see are logging trucks with signs supporting the recall. I see 150-200 people joining a parade and chanting their support. What I see, is standing room only at board meetings.
What I see are parents, grandparents, educators, and community members putting aside their personal politics and ideologies to do what is right for this district. Those against it call supporters democrats, donkeys, woke liberals, and communist. That’s just not true. Over 600 community members in a conservative town don’t become liberal overnight. What I see, at every meeting for the recall, are community members who fly all sorts of flags; Trump 2024 flags, the Rebel flag, the Stars and Stripes, and maybe even a Pride flag. They all leave their flags at the door. This is about doing the right thing, not proving someone else wrong.
This area has always come together in times of crisis; to pay for cancer treatments, to support a boy with a football injury, or to help a sexual assault survivor feel safe. We are in a crisis now. These two Trustees have created chaos and mistrust. Our kids are counting on you to see what I see. Politics don’t belong in education.
-Brooke Ramsey
Dear Editor,
I'd like to express my admiration and respect to the parents at the June 12th West Bonner County School Board meeting. Without them, I daresay that Branden Durst--with the cooperation of longtime acquaintance, Keith Rutledge-- would have succeeded in ramming through a contract that would not have aided the school district one iota.
In fact, because the parents demanded that the board review the contract line by line, I believe the true nature of the application was revealed. Specifically, he is more interested in milking the district for money than he is helping the district get back to financial health. I don't believe the students or the teachers factor into Mr. Durst's calculus at all.
Mr. Durst's avarice is clearly on display:
1. A $105,000 per year salary, for a 4-day/week school year.
2. A monthly housing allowance of $500.
3. A vehicle with AWD or 4WD, no older than 10-years, for his personal and official business. If that isn't audacious enough, Mr. Durst states that the district is to pay for all maintenance, registration, and fuel for the vehicles operation.
Another red-flag that was raised for me is that he'd like not only himself, but his wife as well, to be protected from lawsuits while he's superintendent. Why would anybody sue his wife? Is Mr. Durst--who is currently not qualified to be a superintendent in Idaho-- anticipating making such egregious and reckless decisions that he has to protect his wife from litigation as well?
Add to all of that Mr. Durst's request to have a super-majority (instead of a simple majority) of the board vote for his termination in case the need arises, and you'll realize why I don't think that Mr. Durst has the school district's best interests in mind.
-Glenn R. Hines
Idaho Republicans hold all state offices, hold a super-majority in the Legislature, and dominate city and county government. Idaho republicans advocate politicizing school board and other currently non-partisan elections. Idaho Republicans have a closed primary system heavily influenced by the Idaho Freedom Foundation. IFF is heavily funded by out-of-state political action groups. Is Idaho headed toward a single-party, authoritarian government? This school board is dangerous. Do not underestimate their power to completely turn this whole community upside down and gut our public school system from the inside out. Brandon Durst will help with that.
I am 4th generation Priest River graduate. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling and give back to this community by working with children and adults with mental health struggles in a private practice and school setting. I have 4 children of my own, all under the age of 8. I grew up in this conservative community and identify as a heterosexual with conservative values. I am not trying to push anything on anyone. I just want to draw attention to the atrocities that could be at stake if we do not sign a petition and have these reckless and careless school board members removed. WE NEED A RECALL!
-Andie Flavel
Branden Durst's new board clerk, Brandy Paradee, started working on Thursday July 6. He personally appointed her to the position, unbeknownst to the school board, because he stated he "needs someone in there that will do what he says." Someone that has openly been against our schools. Shaming parents and spreading false information in a district she DOESN'T EVEN LIVE IN. Her contract was approved on a temporary 30 day basis. She is also not to be given access to employee files, personal information, or other sensitive documents until she passes a background check. Fast forward to today, Thursday July 13, one week later. Our district office employees were notified that they are no longer employed by the district. Key cards are deactivated and they are terminated. Do you think we're stupid? Mr. Durst and Ms. Paradee are now the only people at the district office and we're supposed to trust them? Just a coincidence that this happens at the same time the forensic audit is approved? I don't think so. They are not there in good faith. I think we should all expect that documents and information soon will be "found" that likely would implicate wrong doing by the woman that worked in the District Office. This might be a Whistleblower.
-Tiffiny Simpkins PRLHS graduate 2007 and Concerned Parent
Did Mr. Durst fire all district office staff?
Unfortunately it’s true. He has now also hired Dave Reilly’s(Idaho Tribune) wife who is not of our district also. Now, the only three people in the district office do not have background checks. Mrs. Reilly has not been board approved either. Mr. Durst made us aware that he is continuing the hiring process last night at the negotiations meeting. When asked if he was including a hiring committee of the principals or staff he said no. He wasn’t opposed to having a hiring committee in the future but he didn’t want to wait. He has interviews today.
The scary thing about it now is that three people in the district office have shared their opinions that they are against public education, are not from the district, don’t have completed background checks and have access to all the financial and personnel documents right before we start a forensic audit. Smells fishy, doesn’t it?
Did I forget to mention the board chair and vice chair are up for recall?
85% of the votes that put Keith in his seat, signed the petition to recall him.
75% of the votes that put Susan in her seat, signed the petition to recall her.
This has been verified by the county clerk. But I respect your right to verify from whatever source you feel is legitimate. I just hope this ship gets on the right track before it sinks. I truly believe that’s what they want to happen. Look at their actions and not the words they say because it’s what you want to hear.
-Paul Turco
Copper Bay Construction has taken a public stand along with over 100 other area business’s in
favor of the West Bonner County School District recall effort. Aren’t we afraid of loss of
business and repercussions from our patrons?
My reply is simple: NO! Any reasonable person who has paid attention to what Trustees
Rutledge and Brown are doing to destroy our school system would have to be totally
supportive of the recall efforts! And as community business owners, we understand how very
important an educated workforce is for our business’ and community’s wellbeing. So YES, I’m
willing and honored to stand with the majority of our citizens and the honest, hardworking and
underpaid employees of our School District in this fight to return the leadership of our District
to people who have the best interest of our kids and our community.
Hiring the unqualified and uncertified Mr. Durst as Superintendent, and letting him run amock
with the District’s business has been a huge mistake. Allowing him to run off a large
percentage of WBCSD’s competent staff, and completely ignoring the concerns and advice of
the vast majority of the parents is even worse. Willingly ignoring so many legalities and edicts
from the State Board of Education while making wildly unsubstantiated claims of underhanded
dealings by WBCSD past staff is setting the stage for many legal liabilities. There are so many
more negatives, but in short, Rutledge and Brown’s management decisions are destroying our
School District, and it seems they are intent to do it at any cost.
Our School Board is entrusted with the business end of running our District. But what they
have done so far is just plain BAD BUSINESS. Certainly there was room for improvement
within the district, but Rutledge and Brown’s radical actions thus far are are costing much
more anxiety and money than we can imagine. And if we let them continue burning our District
to the ground we may never recover. Their actions are depriving our children of the educational
opportunities they so very much deserve.
It’s time to put a stop to this nonsense. Please vote yes on August 29th to Recall Rutledge and
Brown. RECALL, REPLACE, REBUILD
-Ken Hagman, Owner
Copper Bay Construction.
The word salads coming from the Idaho Freedom Foundation constituency and those that are
associated contain all the buzzwords to get people riled up! Look out they say, a leftist
nationally funded machine has snuck into North Idaho overnight and is here to destroy us.
Starting with a recall election in WBCSD. Gasp! Words like woke, BLM, leftist extremists,
donkeys, radicals just to name a few all just put there to scare people into thinking there is
some nefarious outside force coming in to take over Idaho. Well they aren’t wrong, that force
has arrived and it is Idaho Freedom Foundation and their ilk.
While it has worked in the past for IFF to sell themselves as God fearing, traditionalists who only have the best interest of children on their minds, their behavior in the WBCSD has been the
epitome of cronyism, corruption, political shenanigans and incredibly destructive, dishonest and
hypocritical behavior. There seems to be no end to what they are willing to do to destroy a
school district and initiate their bizarro world management of a school district
As a lifelong Idaho resident, WBCSD educated, registered Republican, I could not be more
disgusted or disenfranchised by the RINOs representing my district and this area. Frankly I am
embarrassed at how asleep at the wheel I was while all of this has been transpiring. But no
longer. Many of us have awoken to the shameful political cronyism and have come together in
a bi-partisan way to run a recall election to save our school district. This group of hometown
folks of all ages and walks of life have put aside their political differences and are gathering
steam to stop this horrific take over. We sit shoulder to shoulder, not in judgment of each
other’s political beliefs but unified by the concern of our children, educators, staff, young and
old people who call this area home. What could be more Christian-like than that?
Please do some reading outside of the vacuum of political propaganda. Ask the questions.
Support open primaries. Get Idaho back on track and away from the true billionaire backed
outside forces that are threatening our way of life. Wake up to what is happening here.

Those against the recall do a really good job of passing misinformation through the rumor mill to
rile people up. There are some so absurd that it's like me saying "I have waterfront property in North Dakota for sale."
Mama bears, Papa bears, and our community are aware of your tactics. We have done our research Vice Chair.
On video Susan Brown said there was a million dollars in a secret account which turned out to
be incorrect. A few weeks later it was announced at a school board meeting that the county
collected unpaid property taxes in June and we're given to The District in August. Susan Brown needs to do the right thing and admit she was wrong and put this behind her.
On video there was a quote on a school board agenda item. Trustee Reinbold voted with trustee
Hall and trustee Barton. Chairman Rutledge abruptly turned his head to the right side to stare
down trustee Reinbold with disapproval. Trustee Barton brought the agenda item back for
discussion trustee Rutledge asked for a re vote. This time trustee Reinbold voted with Rutledge
and brown. Three to two vote again -this was a bullying and intimidation.
Please join me to vote Yes on August 29th.
